NarrativeStays is free to browse. Some of the outbound "Visit website" links we show are affiliate links: if you book after following one, the property or a booking partner may pay us a small commission. It costs you nothing extra — you pay the same price you would have anyway.

How to tell

Wherever a link earns us a commission, we label it plainly right next to the button, and the link itself is marked rel="sponsored" for search engines. A plain link to a stay's own website that earns us nothing carries no such label.

What this never changes

• Verification is not for sale. Whether a stay is hand-verified, and how it ranks or gets featured, is decided by our editorial standards alone — never by whether a link pays us.
• We take no part in your booking. No payments, availability or customer service pass through us; we simply point you to the place that handles the stay.
• Honesty first. Every stay carries an honest "what's the catch" note whether or not its link earns us anything.

The programs

Commissions may come through a property's own direct referral programme or through Booking.com, Expedia or Travelpayouts. Which one a given link uses depends only on where that exact stay can be booked.
