Privacy policy

The short version: NarrativeStays never asks who you are. Your taste profile lives under a random, anonymous ID — no name, no email, no phone number — and one tap on the About page erases everything, permanently.

What we store

An anonymous profile. A random device ID generated on your own device. It identifies your taste profile, not you — we have no way to connect it to a person.
Your taste. Swipes, saved stays, your onboarding image picks, and the taste vector computed from them, used only to choose which stays to show you.
Wellness inputs, if you use Zen. Your goal, level, minutes per day and equipment — plus optional, skippable body details (height, weight, age, sex, activity level, diet) used only to size your routine, meals and projection. Skip them and Zen works anyway.
Usage events. Anonymous counts of things like cards viewed, pass reasons, outbound clicks and shares, so we can tell which features earn their keep.

IP addresses

Like every website, our server sees your IP address in its logs. We resolve it to a country — nothing finer — using an offline database on our own machine, so your IP is never sent to any third-party service. Traffic statistics we look at are country-level only.

What we never do

No cookies, no trackers. The site sets no cookies and runs no third-party analytics or advertising scripts.
No selling data. Your data is never sold, rented or shared for marketing.
No outside AI. The AI that explains recommendations runs on our own server. Your taste data is never sent to an external AI provider.

If you contact us as a hotelier

When a property owner submits their email on the aesthetic-score page, we store that email, the property URL and the score snapshot they saw — used only to follow up about their listing, never added to any marketing list.

Embedded videos and outbound links

Exercise and recipe demos load through YouTube's privacy-enhanced (no-cookie) player, and only when you press play. Following an outbound link to a stay or a booking site takes you to that site, where its own privacy policy applies — including any affiliate tracking the booking partner performs.

Where your data lives

Data is stored in our database, hosted by Supabase, and processed on a server we operate at Hostinger. Both act only as infrastructure providers on our instructions.

Deleting your data

Open About and tap "Delete my data & start over". Your profile, swipes, taste vector and recommendations are deleted immediately and permanently — no grace period, no soft delete. Because profiles are anonymous, this button is the deletion mechanism; there is no account recovery.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EU's GDPR and the personal-data protection laws of Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of personal data. Most of these you can exercise yourself with the delete button above; for anything else, email contact@narrativestays.com and we'll respond promptly.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with an updated date. We will never quietly weaken it — a meaningful change gets a plain note at the top of this page.
