Cave & Underground
Museum Hotel Cappadocia
Turkey

Antique-filled caves, Relais & Châteaux
Thirty-four cave and stone rooms above Uçhisar furnished with hundreds of genuine Hittite, Roman, Seljuk and Ottoman artifacts, each registered with the Nevşehir Museum — the world's first living-museum hotel, operating since 2003. Cappadocia's only Relais & Châteaux member, with the Lil'a restaurant and a pool heated to 30–32°C year-round facing the balloon-filled valley. The catch: The hotel's own FAQ is blunt: ancient caves mean stairs, uneven surfaces and low ceilings throughout — not suitable for wheelchair users — and rates sit at the very top of Cappadocia's market.
