Via-ferrata climb to a transparent capsule 400m up
Three transparent polycarbonate-and-aluminum capsules bolted 400 metres up a sheer rock face above the Sacred Valley — the world's first hanging lodge when Natura Vive opened it in 2013. You climb a via ferrata or take a zipline-and-hike route to reach your bed; dinner with wine and breakfast are hauled up with you. The catch: The climb IS the check-in: a 400 m via ferrata or zipline route is the only way up or down, and a night runs about S/1,640 (~US$450) per person — not for vertigo, small children, or anyone who wants a shower.
