Floating hotel on the Bohuslän coast
Sweden's first floating hotel: 23 crisp, compact rooms on pontoons moored off Klädesholmen, a Bohuslän islet built on two centuries of herring canning. You sleep to water lapping under the deck, sauna from a raft, and eat at a restaurant famous enough that many guests come for the herring alone. The catch: Rooms are small and Scandinavian-spare — this is a restaurant-first destination on a tiny island, and summer weekends book solid.
